My Life & Family

I was giving Kiara a strawberry and she said thank you. I couldn't believe my ears. My mom has been working with her on it and now she says it very clearly. She also learned how to climb off of the couch very gracefully.

She loves going to day care. This will be the 3rd week going. She loves to play with all the kids. Plus Tayla will be there on Friday's now. She is such an explorer now. Everything's fasinating and mysterious.

In 2 weeks we are taking a trip Elwyn, Jen, Tayla, Adam, Kiara, and I. We are going to Harisville MI. Elwyn has been there before with his family. He says there are alot of fun things to do plus the beach and hiking trails. It will be fun taking the girls there.

On friday Ron was playing at Community Park where there was going to be fireworks afterwards. It was the first time kiara saw fireworks. It was hard for her to stay awake for that long period of time, but when the fireworks went off she was amazed. She would reach her hand out as if she were trying to touch them. We are going to the Yellow Springs fireworks on the 4th to see them again. She didn't really mind the loud noise. She was just fasinated.

On Saturday we had our usual breakfast at our house and we put the baby pool aroung the slide. So you could climb up the playground and slide right into the water. It was alot of fun. Tayla and I were taking turns,but my splash was alot bigger.

Last Friday and Saturday was Kiar's big birthday weekend.
Thank you to all of you who could share her special day. It was a pretty big hit. friday we had all the grandparents over for diner and Kiara's first bithday cake. It was alot of fun. She loves icing. she had a pretty big day with cake and opening her gifts and then we gave her a bath with her new bath toys.

Saturday Jessie came over first thing in the morning to see Kiara walk. She was going from one person to the next. We went to a garage sale that my friends neighborhood was having for the whole area. My friend was selling her playground that is a little to small for her 3 year old who is getting a deluxe swingset with slides the whole works so she sold me hers for $50. It was pretty resonable. It has a rock climbing wall on one side a slide on the other and a net on ther side when she gets alittle older. She loves to climb up the slide. She hasn't figured out how to climb up the wall yet. Just wait a couple times seeing Tayla do it and she will be a pro.

Afterwards I had to ice and finish decorating the cake I was making. She had a mystical theme with unicorns, castles, and fairies. The cake turned out great. better than I imagined. I made her a castle cake to go with her theme. It was a 3 tierd cake with ice cream cones on the top for towers. I decorated it withg gum drops and candy kisses and twizlers for the door and hershey bars for the window and main door. It was alot of fun doing it. After that I met up with mom and Ruth to decorate, That was a little challenging as it was very windy as we were trying to get balloons blow up and streams and table cloths to stay. All I have to say is thak god for tape. I think we jumped everytime a balloon popped which was alot.

The turn out for the party was very good. About 30 of our closest friends and family were able to make the party. Lots of little babies Ruth was in heaven. She had alot of fun with friends and family and then she got another cake. This one I made especially for her. It was asmall round cake with a cup cake on top with an ice cream cone that was decorated. In the same castle them as her big cake with purple icing, and gum drops. She ate all the gum drops first and then the ice cream cone. man did she love those gum drops. After all that was finished then she ate the cake. we helped her a little. Oh and yes she was messy. Of course it not as fun if you don't get messy with it.

After the cake she opened her gifts. tayla helped. It was so cute she would grab the next present and hand it to me and then Noah, Abigail, Tayla, and Kiara would open it. They are all so cute together. She did really good. She managed to stay awake till about 8:30.

I took her to get her 12 month check up today and she is 24.3 lbs, and almost 30 inches long. I got the pictures from my moms camera so they should be up soon on our gallery. Take care

Today when I got off from work, I went over to my parents house for father's day. Adam met us there and we had dinner. As soon as I walked in the door Kiara started walking to me. She went about 10 steps on her own. I was so excited. She has maybe gone one or two steps and then had fallen over, but now she can go a pretty good length of the room walking to someone and makes it on her own. You can see the excitement in her eyes when she knows that she is walking with nobody's help.

Last week we toured the daycare she will be starting the 1st week of July. She will be attending the St. All the teachers were really nice and they had so many classrooms with all kinds of activities. They even have a music teacher when Kiara gets a little older. I am excited and i know Kiara will have a great time. her cousin Tayla is also going there along with our friend's son. Actually when we went on our tour we found out that Grace one of Kiara's classmates is also in the same swim class together. Small world huh.

Kiara has finished her last week of swim class, but is still in the pool just about everyday. Whether it is her baby pool, Tayla's baby pool, the greene's pool, or my friends pool. She is a little fish. She loves the water. She can't get enough of it and most of it goes in her mouth. She is going to be like her mommy and aunt. We both love the water.

Kiara will be a year old on Friday. We hope see all of you there at her party on Sat at 4:00. It is so hard anymore to get together. This should be a lot of fun.

Kiara is now 11 months old and one more month and she will be a year. Her birthday will be june 23rd at Community Park from 4-8. This is just a heads up. I will send invitations as soon as I am done making them. I will send an evite too.

This weekend was our first trip to Gatlinberg TN. Kiara did great in the car. man is she a little traveler. She has already been to Fl. twice and now Gatlinberg. It was very nice. We stayed in a cabin and met up with my aunts, uncles, and cousins that live in Ga. that we don't get to see that often.

Kiara is going to walk in any day. She loves to walk with you. Now she can walk with you only holding one hand and still manage to keep her balance pretty well. She said hi a couple of day's ago which was really exciting.

She sarted her very first swim class at the Y.M.C.A on Saturday's she is a little fish. She loves the water loves to go under and kick her feet as well. I have a bunch of new pictures that are on the gallery. Some of Kiara and Tayla at the waterfall in the glen. They had so much fun playing in the water.

2 more months and she will be a year. Wow how time fly's. Just to let everyone know ahead of time Kiara's b-day will be at Community park east on the weekend of June 23rd. Don't know if it will be Sat or Sun now because of work.

We had our first scare on Saturday when Kiara had spiked a fever of 103 degrees. Although this hapens a lot to babies, I have to say I was a little scared. In fact I went to check on her like 5 times that night. She was better on Sunday.

Today, Kiara and I went to cox arboretum for her 10 month shots.(you know pictures) What a beautiful place. Flowers galore. Got some great shots of her. I will put them on snapfish.

Oh, Adam and I will have a gallery set up soon on our blog. For you to view pictures on. Sorry it has been a month. For now I think we can put a link on there that will take you directly to them, but I don't have it finished yet. As soon as I do I will let you know.

Hope everyone had a good Easter. Alot better than our's. We spent the entire Easter sick. First it was Kiara, then me and shortly after me was Adam. It was an awlful bug going around and it cought us good. Thank god Kiara got the least of it. I think I would have freaked if she was throwing up like me.Adam believes the Easter bunny was going around giving everyone the plague. Don't know just glad it is over. I haven't felt that way since I was pregnant.

Anyways I promised more pictures. Soon maybe even tonight. I am on vacation this week and I have been able to spend alot of time with my fun loving baby girl even though the weather has not been all that great. It has been hard to do anything else.

lauren I am glad you got your card. It took a while to make it. It's amazing what you can do on computers. Good luck on selling your condo and we will see ya in May.

Hey evryone,

because I love pictures so much and want to do more with my photography skills and make movies. Adam bought me a mac. You can do all sorts of neat stuff with pic., but as with all things you have to figure out how it all works. I have some great new pictures for you, but I have to figure out how to get them on the blog. The great thing abou the old computer was that everything was already set up and I knew just what to do. Now it takes some figuring out.

Just to update you on my little angel. She is crawling and we are starting to get her to walk with you as long as you hold her hand she will take steps on her own. She gives kisses now. Well she basically opens her mouth so I guess it would be a wet kiss. It is just so cute.

Anyways i have great pictures of her sitting near the waterfall at the glen. We went there on the last nice day we had. Now it is snowing. I just don't understand this weather. It is supposed to be cold all easter weekend. Yuck! At least all the babies will be together again.

Tayla was over last Sunday for breakfast and she was practicing putting the easter eggs in the basket. She did so good she would hold her basket on her arm while picking up the eggs. We know who the winner will be this year.

Today was a very fun day. First we went to see Grandpa at the hospital. After Kiara woke up from her nap, we went to see Russ, Carolyn and the kids. Kiara played with Abigail and Rebecca. We tought Abigail how to use our camera. She just loves to take pictures. I guess that is something me and her have in common. We got to take the doggies out too. Then were tired of being cooped up in the house. It was great that we could let them run around.

Then we headed to Firman and Lynn's and had dinner with the family. It was a beautiful day. One that you wanted to spend every moment outside.
